The funding, which is aimed at enhancing emergency response capabilities, ensuring the safety of both the public and firefighters, and supporting the recruitment and retention of additional first responders, represents a critical step forward in safeguarding communities in Allegany, Garrett, and Washington Counties.

• Funding: $207,753.33
• Purpose: This funding will be utilized to replace 25 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) units. The SCBAs are crucial for firefighters, providing them with a source of clean, breathable air in the midst of dangerous situations.
