North Glade area stormwater study funded

SWANTON — A $70,000 grant from the Chesapeake Bay Trust will allow Garrett County officials to study stormwater problems and solutions in the North Glade Run area of Deep Creek Lake.

That drainage area includes Glendale Road, Beckman’s Peninsula Road, Glen Acres Road, Harvey Peninsula Road, North Glade Road and Sky Valley Drive.

There will be two public forums to which all residents in the drainage will be invited. The first will discuss the purpose, process and projected outcomes of the project. The second will present findings and mitigation strategies. Dates will be announced in March.
